Dr. Johnson's research and love for the state of Mississippi led him to incorporate GMCDC in the fall of 2024. He is passionate about housing literacy, community development, and creating innovative affordable housing solutions to help low-to-moderate income families build generational wealth.

The Program Manager will work closely with the Executive Director and local leaders to identify problems that align with GMCDC's mission and develop actionable solutions that produce measurable outcomes. Requirements for this role include a bachelor's degree (in Social Work, Sociology, Education, Business, or a related field) and 2 years of experience in nonprofit management or administration.

A Licensed Realtor for the state of Mississippi at Legacy Real Estate Group, Brandi brings an extensive background in property management to GMCDC. She is a graduate of Mississippi State University with a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design. Her expertise in navigating the complexities of the real estate market has set new benchmarks in customer satisfaction and service excellence. Her dedication to finding the perfect match for every client, whether buying or selling, showcases her commitment to not just meeting, but exceeding client expectations. Brandi is also a proud mother of three children and member of Peter’s Rock Church of God in Christ in Starkville, MS. 

Retired Chief of the Starkville Police Department, Frank began his law enforcement career on December 21, 1992, and through dedication, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to public safety, he rose through the ranks from Patrolman to become the first African American Chief of Police, appointed on February 4, 2014. After serving honorably in that role, he retired on December 31, 2019. In addition to his distinguished law enforcement career, Chief Nichols has made significant contributions in higher education, serving as a Lecturer and Adjunct Instructor in the Sociology/Criminology Departments at both Mississippi State University and East Mississippi Community College.

A financial professional serving as an Assistant Vice President with Regions Bank, Patrick leads branch operations, develops team performance, and delivers strategic financial solutions. A native of Starkville, Mississippi, he remains committed to creating impact within his community and has gained extensive experience in financial systems, client relationships, and long-term growth strategies. Patrick is a graduate of Mississippi State University, where he earned Dean’s List honors with a concentration in business. He has also pursued graduate-level studies in Public Policy and Administration to strengthen his foundation in leadership and governance.
